The word "stack" means to stack or arrange in layers. In practice, Stacked Lobe means placing jewelry outside the classic line on the soft part of the earlobe. It most often takes two forms:

1. Strict Vertical: One piercing perfectly placed above (or below) the existing one.
2. Cluster / Triangle: The piercing is located higher, ideally between e.g. the first and second standard holes, creating a geometric triangle.

When is it worth choosing Stacked Lobe?

• For a unique look: It goes perfectly with small jewelry (e.g. small crystals), creating the effect of a star constellation on the ear.
• If you have a large earlobe: If you have a lot of space on the petal, layering allows you to arrange this space beautifully.
• "Saving" an old piercing: If your first ear piercing was done too low with a gun many years ago, making a second piercing just above it will optically correct the proportions and distract attention from the asymmetry.

As with the classic Lobe, only soft tissue is pierced (no cartilage). Pain is minimal and rated at 1 or 2 on a 10-point scale.

The procedure itself is quick, but it is crucial planning (mapping). An experienced piercer will first carefully measure the distances to make sure that in the future you will be able to fit your dream jewelry next to each other (e.g. two small rings or larger decorative nuts) without the risk of the elements rubbing against each other.

The healing principles of a Stacked Lobe are not drastically different from a standard lobe piercing, but due to the close proximity of two (or more) piercings, you must be especially careful.

• Initial stage of healing: 6 to 8 weeks.
• Full healing: up to 3 months.

The most important rules:

1. Rinse with saline solution: 2-3 times a day with a sterile solution from the pharmacy.
2. Be careful with your hair: Earrings placed one above the other in clusters are more likely to "catch" loose hair strands - be careful when combing!
3. Protect your ear while sleeping: Sleeping on a fresh piercing is the most common cause of changing the angle of the canal and the formation of granulation tissue, and with two closely placed piercings, the risk of pressure is double.

1. Don't touch: Avoid touching the earring with dirty hands and refrain from "spinning" it.
2. Cleanse regularly: Wash the piercing site 2-3 times a day with sterile saline solution.
3. Avoid chemicals: Avoid using hydrogen peroxide, alcohol or antibiotic ointment. They may irritate the wound and delay healing.
4. Be careful with your hair and clothes: Make sure that shampoo or conditioner does not remain on the ear after bathing. Be careful when putting on sweaters!

In Stacked Lobe, jewelry plays the main role. The distance between the piercings is small, so the selection of decorations must be precise.

While Healing (Start)

Classic pieces are the recommended starting jewelry G23 titanium labrets. Very discreet, small caps work best (e.g. titanium balls, smooth discs or tiny zircons with a diameter of 1.5 mm - 2 mm).

• Rod Thickness: 1.2mm.
• Starting Length: individually selected to take into account natural swelling (usually 7-8 mm).

After healing (Stylizations)

Once the channels have completely healed and you are done downsize (replacing the rod with a shorter one), you are only limited by your imagination! Combinations that work great are:

• Two small, adjacent rings (seamless rings).
• A larger stone in the lower piercing and a tiny, smooth triangle in the upper one.
• Three crystals arranged in a triangle in the natural space of the petal.
